Bullhorn does more than you think.
Most agencies only use 20%.
Stack Logic builds the automation layer on top of Bullhorn that makes your consultants faster, your compliance watertight, and your data actually usable.

Work smarter, not harder
Bullhorn out of the box is a database. Not an engine.
Most recruitment agencies buy Bullhorn, configure the basics, and then spend years working around the gaps. Consultants manually update candidate records. Compliance docs get chased over email. Placement data sits in Bullhorn while reporting happens in a spreadsheet someone built in 2019. The platform can do significantly more than that. It has a full REST API, event-based triggers, and a webhook system that can fire automations the moment anything changes in your database. Most agencies never touch any of it. That's where I come in.

What We Build
What a Bullhorn build actually looks like.
Every build starts with a proper look at how your instance is configured and where the manual work is piling up. From there it's typically one of four things, or a combination.
Compliance automation
Triggered document workflows using your compliance system of choice and Bullhorn. When a candidate hits a certain status, the right documents go out automatically, reminders fire if unsigned, and completion status writes back to the record. No chasing. No gaps in the audit trail.
API integrations
Bullhorn talks to your other tools via its REST API. That might be pushing placement data to your finance system, pulling enriched data from a third-party source, or syncing candidate records with a client portal. If there's a manual export or import anywhere in your workflow, there shouldn't be.
Automated candidate enrichment
When a new candidate record is created, a workflow fires, pulls the available data, runs it through an AI model, and writes structured enrichment back to Bullhorn. Job title normalisation, seniority scoring, skills extraction from CV text. Clean data in, not dirty data tidied up later.
Onboarding and offboarding workflows
The moment a placement is confirmed, a workflow fires. Right to work, contract, induction docs, system access requests, all triggered, tracked, and logged against the record. Same on offboarding. Nothing falls through because someone forgot to start the checklist.

Is this you?
We should talk if...
You're running a recruitment agency - permanent, contract, or both - and some version of the following is true: Your compliance process relies on a person remembering to send things. Your consultants spend a noticeable chunk of their week on admin that shouldn't require a consultant. You've got Bullhorn data you don't fully trust because it depends on people updating it consistently. You've had an audit scare, or you've thought about what would happen if you had one. It doesn't matter how big you are. I've done this work for agencies with 20 consultants and agencies with 200. The problems are usually the same, just at different scales.

How it works
Every process goes through the same three steps.
Discovery
A focused look at your current Bullhorn configuration, your manual workflows, and where the friction is. I'll map out what's automatable, what the priority order should be, and what a realistic build looks like. This takes a week.

Build
I build the workflows, integrations, and automations we've agreed on. Everything runs on your infrastructure or ours, connects to Bullhorn via its REST API, and is documented as it's built. Typically two to four weeks depending on scope.

Handover
You get working automation, full documentation, and a walkthrough of how everything fits together. I stay available for 30 days post-launch. After that, retainer support is available if you want someone keeping an eye on it.

Common questions answered
Do you work with Bullhorn Automation and Analytics?
Yes to both. Bullhorn Automation is useful for simpler trigger-based sequences and I use it where it's the right fit. For more complex logic - multi-step flows, external integrations, conditional branching - I build custom on top of the REST API instead. Analytics I work with directly, and I can also pull Bullhorn data into external dashboards if you need reporting that goes beyond what Analytics covers natively.

Will this break anything we already have, and do we need a developer to look after it?
Neither. The first thing I do is map your existing configuration before touching anything, so nothing gets broken during a build. On maintenance: everything I deliver is documented properly and built to be understood without technical knowledge. If something needs changing - a status label, a document template, a notification recipient - your ops team can handle it. You don't need a developer on standby.

Can you connect Bullhorn to our other tools?
Usually yes. The most common ones I work with alongside Bullhorn are DocuSign, SharePoint, HubSpot, Slack, Teams and finance systems like Xero or Sage. If your tool has an API or a webhook - which most modern platforms do - it can be connected. If you're unsure about something specific, ask on the discovery call and I'll tell you straight.

What if our process changes after the build?
It's expected. Processes change, teams grow, platforms update. The documentation I deliver means your team can make minor adjustments themselves. For anything more substantial - a new workflow, a change in how placements are handled, a new tool coming into the stack - I offer retainer support, or you can come back for a scoped piece of work. You're not locked in and nothing is built in a way that only I can understand.

Are you a Bullhorn partner?
I work independently, which matters more than it sounds. I'm not paid to sell you anything from the Marketplace, so when the honest answer is that a licence you already own covers the job, that's the answer you get. I build directly against the Bullhorn REST API, which means I'm not limited to what an off-the-shelf app happens to support. If you want someone whose incentive is a working system rather than a software sale, that's the difference.
What does it cost?
It depends on scope, but to give you a useful frame: a focused build - one or two workflows, clear requirements, straightforward integrations - typically starts from around £3,000. A more complex engagement covering multiple workflows, several integrations, and a full documentation and handover process sits in the £5,000-£12,000+ range. I price by project rather than day rate, so you know the number before anything starts. The diagnostic call is free and will give you a much clearer picture of where your engagement would sit.
